      ... were we queue for the ferry which takes about 15 minutes to get there. We are so glad we booked in advance as the next available date here was the 21st July! We get to the spooky Island and get our talk from the National Park ranger. We learn it is a bird sanctuary. Excellent. We decide to start with the video which tells us the history then make our way to the cell blocks for the audio tour. This was great as it was the staff and the prisoners telling the stories ...

      For some reason, I got up so early this morning, despite being on vacation. I ate breakfast and got ready. Mohini got ready and dressed very cute. Then, Sara arrived to take me out for the day.

      To my surprise, Sara was taking me to Google! Her boyfriend was beyond kind enough to invite me with them for lunch and see the campus. I could not believe how nice Sara and her boyfriend were to me.

      The Stanford campus was as quiet as a library in the sun. "Where is the life?" I kept asking myself. Grant and I stopped at The Cafe in the alumni center. He ordered a grilled cheese and a Pepsi. I had a small latte. Grant's grilled cheese came with tomato and avocado, so he had to slice those off. My latte came with a bad taste.
