      ... many give up before they reach the first hurdle? Which incidentally is no small thing....... hills (SF is built on 43 of them) steep enough to break anyone's spirit and a couple of them in the first leg of the journey!

      For some reason, I got up so early this morning, despite being on vacation. I ate breakfast and got ready. Mohini got ready and dressed very cute. Then, Sara arrived to take me out for the day.

      To my surprise, Sara was taking me to Google! Her boyfriend was beyond kind enough to invite me with them for lunch and see the campus. I could not believe how nice Sara and her boyfriend were to me.

      The Stanford campus was as quiet as a library in the sun. "Where is the life?" I kept asking myself. Grant and I stopped at The Cafe in the alumni center.
