Washington DC to charleston, South Carolina ...... A 9 hour journey covering 530 miles on the most comfortable train I have ever been on. Not only huge amounts of leg room, but reclining seats with integral foot rests so you can sleep or just get comfy. Unlike the plane, car or bus, you can get up and stretch your legs anytime, there is wifi and you can even charge your phone/ ipad at your seat. AND you get to see the countryside.
