The pool, hot tub, sauna, ping pong table, pool table, and beach volleyball court keep us recreationally spoiled. There are hammocks everywhere. ... having had a late lunch we looked for something lighter. We found another terrific place, Cafe Affair, and shared a pizza and a delicious vegetable salad. The restaurant was tastefully decorated with historic mining, hunting, and logging items on the walls, along with two oversized couches near a huge fireplace, making it feel like a mountain lodge. We are off tomorrow early so it's time to return to our hotel.

... eels in the shallows of the lake were all the discouragement I needed. Met a lovely couple from Motueka who were just out for a drive with a group of friends .... in their orange Lotus. The were not interested in swapping for the camper, although they did concede that we had more storage.

Tonight we are in a camping ground in Richmond - pretty much a suburb of Nelson. Catching up on washing, crockpotting, depilation, and a spot of baking for a birthday tomorrow

... through the surf. There was ************e else on the beach.

The path then heads upwards along some quite steep paths which are quite narrow in places (time to close my eyes and put one foot in front of the other) - it then descends again onto Tonga Quarry.

Pas the name suggests it was a quarry - the cathedral steps in Nelson were made from stone from the quarry.

We had a quick deep in the sea before the boat came in.

I thought that after 'That Walk' last week, that the grown-up would be fed up on walks! But no, today she went to Abel Tasman National Park, the smallest, but most visited National Park in NZ.

First we got onto a bus (another one), then we got a boat, or a sea taxi as it is called. Whilst we were blasting through the water, we saw some more seals splashing around in the water and some herons doing some people ...
