Finley to Cowra
We left Finley early on Saturday morning, we had stayed in a motel and didn't need to pack up the camper. It was very cold and by the time we arrived in Narrandara my fingers were frozen. I tried to warm up with a hot cuppa and put the liner back into my jacket (I had taken it out yesterday when it was hot). The landscape between Finley and Narrandara was flat and the road very straight, with just a few curves to remind us what we were missing. It was ...

The area is known for Peregrine Falcon roosts and as if on cue, literally as we sat down for a rest two Peregrine Falcons circled right above us several times. We found out later that the ...

... on with more sites for a couple of days at least. Then on through Bathurst to Cowra. Tomorrow on to Canberra. So far no sign of the fires but the owner of the motel we are in says the lack of sun is due to smoke in the atmosphere. We will have to watch out and find out if any roads are closed between Canberra and Melbourne. Have posted some photos to our flickr site - www.flickr.com/photos/timcap if ...
