      ... greetings from the staff and complimentary Bellinis-just like Harry's Bar in Venice. The food: carpaccio, pasta with ham, grilled sea bream with broccoli rabe was fabulous. We finished with a trio of amazing (complimentary) desserts-lemon cake, tiramisu and vanilla ice cream with candied nuts; I am embarrassed to say that we along with Steven polished off everything. It was elegant and expensive...and worth every penny. BTW, Javier is fine and loves ...

      ... Café 27 on US27 and we will be on our way. Tentative plans are to make it at least till Tallahassee on Day 1. Weather and traffic conditions will ultimately decide how far we make it.

      ... played cards on our own :( and at around 8 headed out to the seafront to get a spot to watch the fireworks. When we got there the place was heaving already, no space to sit on the wall and the beach was full of people watching a live band on a big stage. The atmosphere was great, lots of people dressed up in red white and blue, it's obviously a massive celebration! We listened to the band for a bit and sat on the grass to wait for the fireworks, which were unbelievable. ...
