... Sands is located right next to a Missile Range, and we were actually lucky enough to see three or four missiles being launched as we drove off! We finally made it to our hotel in El Paso and are taking some time to rest before a big day tomorrow (we are going to visit Carlsbad Caverns National Park and then make our way up to Albuquerque!)

... Nita was hot to trot and say hello! I wasn't so sure they would welcome the intrusion. Then Nita backed out and I thought it would be OK. Finally we had no choice - Nita had to go out and lock up the car. They had limited English - from Quebec but we managed. Nice to not be the only 'gay' in the park!

We're getting excited to get home. Be home, see our animals and yes - friends ...

Caden's Hospital Visit

Fortunately it looks like all is going to be o.k., but for the first time in his life, Caden has entered a hospital. He is only 8 weeks old, and had a temperature of 101 degrees so in we came due to our doctor's recommendation. They poked, drew blood, flushed his nose, and finally got a 2" needle put in his back to draw out spinal fluid...ouch. I think I just ...
