We had the shortest drive of our trip today a few hours along the coast to Los Angeles. Our first stop was Venice Beach and Santa Monica. We found a park in between the two and wandered along the beach pathway to check them out. The sun was shining and we were in shorts and t-shirts. It felt good not to have to wear thermals, beanies, gloves and a …

... I did it. Also glad it was a hot day lol After Jurassic Park was The Mummy roller coaster (indoor) and again not my thing at all!! Shane said it's similar to the Scooby Doo ride at Movieworld. But I decided to suck it up and ride it...again so glad I did. It was awesome! So dark and fast, it only lasts for about 2 mins! Then we went on the Transformers ride. It's another 3D simulator and it was probably my favourite! You get to see Optimus Prime ...

... the huge lit-up tent vibrating with music. We enter the tent, which smells like a brewery and a BBQ, and squeeze through the jammed-packed, party animals dancing to the infectious German polka music.

“This is great!” Babe says. “Let’s get something to eat before we start dancing.”

“Okay, I’m starving!” I follow behind Babe as he carves a path to the ...
