We docked in Port Everglades which is about 15mins drive from Fort Lauderdale. It's the second busiest cruise ship port in the world, after Miami, and is on southern Florida's Atlantic coast, which they call the Gold Coast!
It took a long time getting through US Immigration! We had our photos and fingerprints taken - all fingers and thumbs! Whilst we could understand the US concern about security, we couldn't understand the inconsistency. ...

I got caesar salad and chips, while Doug got rice and black beans - we all got a small piece of Corn Bread on the side and I have to say it was the best Corn bread I’ve had for years. The total price for the two of us was $10.58 including tax … what a ...

We spent the Holidays with Jody's parents in Fort Lauderdale. What a grand time we had! Swimming at the beach and pool, fabulous dinners, cocktail parties, get togethers to watch the cruise ships leave the port and over all party, party! Ya gotta be in 'party shape and mode' to hang with Janet ...
