Something different tonight but has some surprises. Free wifi which is very fast compared to the last 3 nights. Good old fashioned values - if under-age drinking suspected, police will be called, absolutely no noise after 11 pm, Continental breakfast is included in the cost which is less than many of the smaller places we have stayed in. room comes with fridge and microwave, 2 chairs at the table, one queen bed and bedside light on both sides. We can even open the window for fresh air and not have the air conditioner on. Breakfast is very limited - toast with jam or peanut butter, mini bagel with cream cheese, mini choc coated donut, coffee, juice and some tired fruit. What we expected for the price we paid

Arrived just on opening time, parked quite close to the entry and were in the building quickly because we did not have any bags for checking. Museum is HUGE. It is modern airconditioned aircraft hangars full of …

We have enjoyed our stay here and it has been real quiet except for the weekends, when all the locals take advantage of the scenery and weather. It is good to see people out and enjoying nature. We will be moving on tomorrow to Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Va.

We have taken several hikes in the park ...

We spent another day in Harrisburg as I was feeling under the weather. But the next morning I was feeling well enough to make it to Shenandoah State Park in Bentonville, Va. It was only a 150 miles and we are now enjoying the state park. Bentonville is close to Front Royal, Va., the start of the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park.

The campground is very nice but doesn't have wifi:(( and no TV:)) but Suzanne and I have been reading a lot. I can ...

Wednesday, June 04 2014 Woke up around 7:30. Actually up in time to take advantage of the breakfast they have at the hotel! It was an okay spread, the usual - cereal, oatmeal, make your own waffle set up, apples, oranges, and bagels. As we hiked towards the trail, 3.8 miles away, we came to a stop light and a lady there asked us if we needed a ride to the trail head :) - of course we said "yes"!. Super nice lady, she was on the way to pick up her friend and take her to ...
