    Old fashioned style motel

Something different tonight but has some surprises. Free wifi which is very fast compared to the last 3 nights. Good old fashioned values - if under-age drinking suspected, police will be called, absolutely no noise after 11 pm, Continental breakfast is included in the cost which is less than many of the smaller places we have stayed in. room comes with fridge and microwave, 2 chairs at the table, one queen bed and bedside light on both sides. We can even open the window for fresh air and not have the air conditioner on. Breakfast is very limited - toast with jam or peanut butter, mini bagel with cream cheese, mini choc coated donut, coffee, juice and some tired fruit. What we expected for the price we paid

Wet morning as we departed Washington DC. Plan A was implemented - go to the Air and Space Museum near Chantilly near Dulles Airport. Arrived just on opening time, parked quite close to the entry and were in the building quickly because we did not have any bags for checking. Museum is HUGE. It is modern airconditioned aircraft hangars full of …

... poison dart frog, Timothy was a card-jay (cardinal/blue jay) and Emma got to be a princess. Well, when you're all dressed up you might as well make a movie, right? Meanwhile, all I heard from Timothy was how "immature" I am for a 23 year old... kids these days. All I have to say is that they better remember this the next time they want to call me boring.

Diane and the kids took me to see a play that weekend as well, which ...

    Ready for the Adventure!

It's hard to believe that we are leaving for Italy and Greece tomorrow! I am beyond excited for this trip and cannot wait for the adventure to begin. As excited as I am for the trip, I am not so excited about packing. For one who travels abroad frequently, you would think I would have no trouble packing; however I always procrastinate on packing. I have had things laid out for days, but ...

We took a detour home since it was a nice day out and we left with plenty of time to be able to do this! We stopped at Dinosaur Land. It's a very small park, but one that was a nice little detour! They have over 40 replica dinosaurs that you walk along and see. There is a sign ...

... there, we did the Garden Maze. It's a maze of high bushes with flowers and some pretty flowers through it. You go in and find 4 mailboxes with stamps that reveal a 'secret' at the end. We found all 4 mailboxes, in order, and made our way out in probably 1/2 hour or so. It was fun!

We then crossed the street and took Caitlyn to get a gem bag that she could sluice. She ended ...
