Cool Harbor Motel has very friendly staff, is in a great location, just a shame the pool was out of order as I could of worked on displacing all the water. It was hot here.
I stayed an extra day just because there is a really cool pizza restaurant across the road.
You could attract more bikers with better rates, a pool, but it was fine as it was.

        Old fashioned style motel

Something different tonight but has some surprises. Free wifi which is very fast compared to the last 3 nights. Good old fashioned values - if under-age drinking suspected, police will be called, absolutely no noise after 11 pm, Continental breakfast is included in the cost which is less than many of the smaller places we have stayed in. room comes with fridge and microwave, 2 chairs at the table, one queen bed and bedside light on both sides. We can even open the window for fresh air and not have the air conditioner on. Breakfast is very limited - toast with jam or peanut butter, mini bagel with cream cheese, mini choc coated donut, coffee, juice and some tired fruit. What we expected for the price we paid

Now this is where, as far as I know so far, biker heaven in the USA begins.
I have been on some cool roads, some long freeways, told my GPS to look for curvy but all it can do is take me off the freeway and back on. Now for some scenic fun tho.
I mean around 400 miles of it, if not more.
I had a quick recce into the Shenandoah National …

... my Dad. Dad would have loved to have met Mousse. After visiting my dad, we explored other areas of the cemetery. On our way from my dad's grave we viewed a funeral - there was a horse drawn carriage with the flag dropped casket. I couldn't tell if it was a active soldier being buried.

Then we headed into the Washington Mall area. We parked near Pennsylvania Ave - a ...
