Well today was the official end of our vacation and adventure. We now have to get into rally mode. Even though we arrived in Durant yesterday, today we did the tourist bit one more time.

DDE was born in Denison, TX which is about 25 miles north of here. Each time we have driven past this area, I thought that the big head was where the birthplace so this afternoon we drove back into TX. We drove back to where the head is located only to ...

We started out the day by going to church. The UMC of Durant has recently built a new building out of town and it is very nice. According to one parishioner I spoke with "It is more senior friendly" than the old one.

Well if he didn't know how were we to know, but he continued to work ...

... out. That would have been a very bad mess. While we were waiting to pull in when the person finished, someone else pulled in the same place, so we ended up driving a little further up 281 to Burnet. As it turned out, it was a better situation because the station has a very large parking area and we were able to hook up easily.

We were back on the way by 9:45, so we were still ahead since normally we leave a place about 10:00. We have learned that you can't ...

Woke up to pounding rain. There is a hurricane going over us. We had planned to leave today. Rain and wind are so heavy we decided to stay another day. Thank you Mike and Kelly for your hospitality. Went out for breakfast and a drive around the area. Again Rob had stars in his eyes for this place. We leave tomorrow for Hot Springs, ...
