... welcome, as were the extra towels given to us on arrival and the faux log burner in our room. After a breakfast of doughnuts and coffee with the owner's corgis (much like the Queen, one would imagine), we made the most of the oceanfront location and headed to the beach. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing. After a short wander along the sand it was time to jump on the bikes again, just in time for more ...

I started the day early with a 2 mile walk. Nice. Was back in time to get ready for the day and still have hotel breakfast with the group in Gary and Linda's room which was right next door to ours. We were at the Oregon Aquarium when it opened, had a picnic lunch in the parking lot, toured a railroad museum in Toledo, Oregon, came back on a back road, had dinner at the Rogue Brewery, played Pegs and Jokers and Canasta in Gary and Linda's room and called it a day.

... provided again by Barry, and at 7p headed towards Mo's restaurant here in Newport. After a surprising short wait 25 of us got seated and ate there. Afterwards we walked to the docks where we saw sea lions and took some pictures. After we headed back to the hotel a lot of us headed down to the beach and made a campfire there. We stayed there for a couple hours until midnight and then everyone started to ...

... normal; ">We drove back up toward Depoe stopping at Otter Rock a mile away. Here is the open topped sea cave known as Devil's Punchbowl. Mo's has a tiny grill next door where they prepare a sampling of their menu. I ordered clam fritters, which deepened my new found love for clams.
From here we could see a lighthouse to the south.
