It is with heavy hearts that we leave Tofino behind. We turn up the A19 and our route is along the coast to Cambell River a bigger city, where we buy some thermal socks and gloves. The hotel has a Jacuzzi and an hot indoor swimming pool..we enjoy the luxury.

Jet Lag what jet lag!

Jen told me our plane was a Dash-380 and I'm thinking she's good to know that, (didn't realise she was into planes) and then I realised that she had read it on the book in the pocket of the seat. Even though we were tired we hadn't quite lost our sense of humour.

Day three
... very expensive cigar, then got on the bikes for a relatively short ride up the west side of the Vancouver Island, on a very pleasant road that ended in Port Renfrew. Very interesting little town, lovely little restaurant where we had clam chowder and salad, but no gas station! So far, each day we have run the bikes until the yellow warning flashes that we are low on fuel! Living on the edge, we are! ...

It is nice to see that new totems are being created to adorn the new structures within Victoria, as well as the old totems being preserved.
