It is with heavy hearts that we leave Tofino behind. We turn up the A19 and our route is along the coast to Cambell River a bigger city, where we buy some thermal socks and gloves. The hotel has a Jacuzzi and an hot indoor swimming pool..we enjoy the luxury.

Today we are visiting the Myra …
If you ever get the chance to visit the island, then do so, it really is a beautiful place
... cool tho and well worth the $12.
Because that is all I did on my first day in Victoria, I didn't really form any opinions about it. It seemed like a nice city as we drove through it. I am not sure what I was expecting and I am not sure if it lived up to or disappointed me at this early stage.
FYI there are A LOT of photos of Miniature World!!
... kept awake by lurid ghost stories, and slept the sleep of the well exercised.
The following morning was our last day, so we both slept in, until we remembered Janis had an 11am hair appointment, then we got up and got moving! While she did that, I put on a load of washing, and relaxed and worked on the blog.
After lunch we walked down and had a look at miniature world, part of The Empress complex. It's brilliant really, over 50 detailed models ...
