... time I leave Honduras, as the more time I spend there,
the closer I become to my friends, who are really more like family. It does
feel like each time I leave, I leave a small part of myself there, which is why
I never feel quite whole until I go back.
This, along with the fear that something might happen to someone I care about, as every time
I leave, I never know who I will not get to see again. I don’t know how they do

... a walk to the local branch of the Green Line Cafe, a chain that every grad student is a bit too familiar with in Philly. I still don't like their coffee (totally sour!) but the ambience can't be beat. They gave Noah some soymilk for free (so nice!) and it was a lovely start to our visit to Philly. You can think of them as "Catholic-Lite!" Now that's interesting because Wilson was ...
... into it. The place filled up around 5 as everyone knocked off for the weekend. Some drunk guy started singing Proud Mary really loudly, so that was my cue to leave.
Philadelphia seems pretty nice. It's like a grittier version of Washington. Still has the row houses and historical buildings everywhere, but it also has hipsters who smoke old fashioned tobacco pipes and seedy dive bars.
Tomorrow I finally make it to New York City. So excited.
