... a cold. We looked around at the gift shop and Derek found Huckleberry Jam to take home.

After lunch we headed north to the Air Force Academy. Natalia told us some of the details about the Academy on the way there, and also a lot about the Colorado Springs area. As we drove up the road to the Academy we saw a B-52 beside the road. Our first stop was the Visitor's Center and had a little time in the gift shop until the introductory movie ...

Miles ridden today - ...

... beautiful as the leaves are changing and when we get to the top there is a little snow. We have about an hour to take pictures, and then we head back down.

We stop in Manitou Springs for lunch at PJ's Bistro. This was a great little place. The waiters were friendly and the food was good. After lunch, we head back over to the Air Force Academy to tour the grounds. The Air Force Academy Chapel is beautiful and nothing like anything we have ever seen. ...

We played around Colorado Springs today. In the morning we went to the Garden of the Gods state park and hiked around. The kids wanted to climb on the sandstone formations so we spent some time hanging out there. We had reservations for the Pikes Peak tram for 1:00 so we got to the depot a bit early to grab something to ...
