It was raining on the way home and then the thunderstorm started. We retired to the hot tub.

... the temperature...It was -3.5C !!!!. The was down was amazing there are only guard rails on curves leaving nothing between you and air ! A bicyclist was going so fast downhill, he got caught up with a line of cars and had to slow down. When I got down to the bottom it was 20C and I was sweating. Colorado weather.

We said goodbye to our friends and joined in the long line of cars evacuating. We could see the fire and smoke behind us. Could not imagine what our friends were thinking. All the traffic on a main thoroughfare was going the same direction to speed up the process. We got back to our hotel and could see flames on the hillside. Very scary now. Very worried for everyone.
