Leaving Janne and Gary was quite tough, their house is beautiful and they were such a joy to stay with. However, we were headed for one of the major highlights of the trip for me. I think I have mentioned before how much I love waterfalls. So going to visit Niagara has been on my must-see list for a number of years.  The drive down to Niagara was easy and relaxing, our route took us around a lot of Lake Ontario and we were treated to multiple ...

The View of Niagara Falls

A travel blog entry by sirena.leme on Aug 16, 2014

I decide to visit the SkyWheel on Clifton Hill to get a good view of the Niagara falls. It’s so high up I can look down at the roofs of building like their small doll houses. We found a place to eat lunch that was on the second floor. We sat one row back from the railing as it was open air type of place. We were the lucky ones! The people by the ...

We were making good progress until we got close to the end of the highway and as we were approaching a toll booth I had to change lanes but needed to get past a huge lorry so I accelerated to get past him before the tool ...

... what I had been hoping to experience, and no amount of ****** entertainment, loud and boozy holiday makers and outdated accommodation was going to spoil that for me! I spent the rest of the day walking around the area and exploring the Canadian side of the falls, managing to get on the last Maid of the Mist tour of the day at 7:45pm. That turned out to be wonderful timing as well, as we weren't packed in like sardines as all the other tours I'd observed from above. ...
