Our luggage finally arrived at around 1.00am! Wendy was the first to head down to the front desk to retrieve the suitcases and consequently the first to discard the travel weary clothes for a fresh replacement outfit. ... planned so it was an 18 hour journey in all - I believe our longest journey of the trip - perhaps longer than the flight home from Sydney? But I'm not sure! We dropped off our luggage at our airbnb after a bit of kerfuffle trying to find it! And then left for a wonder. We got a couple of bits for lunch - they have Walgreens in every corner here, unlike Washington! And headed down to the lake to eat it. Tomorrow, I will really be going all out roadtripping. The plan is to make it to western South Dakota, about a 14 hour drive (yikes). But I'm really looking forward to exploring a part of the states that I really haven't explored before. I'm afraid that I might not be able to connect to the Internet and blog while I'm out there, but I promise that I will catch you all up when I can! So wish me luck over the next couple of days! I'll need it!

... Tower (formerly the Sears Tower), had drinks on the outdoor lounge/patio of their apartment building, got a Chicago pizza and ate it at Millennium Park while the symphony played.
We got back to their apartment in time to see the fireworks over Lake Michigan.....right off of their balcony.
We are going to do more exploring tomorrow.....maybe we will run into Ferris Bueller during our Chicago adventures.
