... anyone without some nervousness. Mostly though, I'm excited. I know it's going to be an amazing 4 1/2 months that I'm sure will teach me a lot about myself and will give me experiences of a lifetime.

I'll try to keep this up fairly regularly with posts about what I'm experiencing, what I'm seeing and what I'm feeling. I'm so grateful to have this opportunity and can't wait to see what's in store with me over the next 4 months! ...

Well, it has been three years since I visited my hometown of Bend, Oregon. Mind you, we went home for a visit to see family a year and a half ago but we did not make it to Bend. Between Tim's family in Seattle and mine it just seems so spread a part when bringing the five of us across for a visit. So many miles in a car even after an all day flight across America. So... ... just like any other Carnival cruise, you show your boarding pass & picture id to (what always seems like) a really old employee who then gives you a health form to complete & motions you towards the "Walt Disney World" lines to go through security & xray checks. The line moves just as slow as the airports because there is always someone who did not empty their pockets. Mike did not put any rum runners in his carry on or pant pockets.
