... Pass as we headed to Buena Vista. We plan to meet Randy Peters and his wife Dori. Randy is a friend of mine who I worked with for many years at John Deere. Randy retired in 2009 and moved to his dream house in the mountains in Buena Vista. It should be a good visit. While traveling through the pass, Sheila and I stopped to have a bit of a snowball fight.

    Happy Trails,

    ... back roads.

    19th
Spent a few hours hiking through the forest next to the Lodge, before heading down to Breckenridge and wandered around the town.

    20th
The morning starts off with another hike into the forest. Then its time for my friend Gerry to arrive from Cleveland Ohio.

    21st, 22rd
These days are spent sightseeing in the car. Bonus was seeing a mother moose very close to the Lodge.

Tomorrow we begin our adventure to the west coast

For dinner tonight I chose Little Annie’s. I got a Hot Apple Pie drink, onion rings, cheese burger with bacon and served with steak fries. The Mocha Ice Cream Pie was my choice for dessert. I had been to Little Annie’s my last trip, but decided to visit again since ...

... suburban (upgrade for no particular reason!) - driver was very friendly and we stopped at the Genesee Candy Land for a bathroom break and to buy some yummy homemade fudge. The best line of the conversation was when the boarder dude in the back seat said that he and his friends did algorithms for fun!! Kelly stayed to ski a few more days, and I headed back to Austin. Took an Uber from ABIA to the house - very easy. Such a nice trip overall - thanks dear!!

... Jack suggested that we find a cabin for the next few nights. Luckily, we stopped at the forest service office where we met a local resident who suggested we try Beaver Lake Estates where they have three guest cabins for rent at the bargain basement price of $35 per night!

Off we went to the Estates! And when we arrived, there was indeed a cabin waiting for us that overlooked Beaver Lake. And it was rustic and fine, so we stayed ...
