    ... when there was so much to entertain us!

    The first and most obvious start to the day was to prepare our lunch (2 egg mayo sarnies) in preparation for when we passed the ‘Entering Sandwich’ sign, which after some driving along narrow country lanes eventually came into sight. We did only intend on taking one bite for the picture but they were so good we gobbled them down for eleven-sees! ...

    ... most unexpected visitor we've had is a large turkey which paraded in front of us when we were out on our deck. It eventually flew off into one of the trees.
    The nice warm weather has come to an end with rather more extreme weather than we expected with high winds and rainstorms, and Hurricane Joaquin threatening to come up this coast. We're heading out to Boston for 3 days then down to NYC from there.

    ... facility, and saw several ships cruising down the canal. This safe channel built during Theodore Roosevelt’s era cut off 120 miles of shipwreck producing coastline!     ... so once again we motored some and did get some sailing in when the wind picked up. Another perfect sunny day. I have had so much sun, I stayed in the cockpit reading. We went through the Cape Cod Canal in 45 minutes because we were with the tide. If we hadn't timed it, it could take over 2 hrs to get through against it.
