      ... course in an hour and Jane is clearly determined not to return the canoe any later than one hour on the dot. Out of mischief, just at the end, I steer us onto a gravel bank, midstream and we arrive back 25 seconds late, she glares at me as if I have spoilt her opportunity for selection but agrees that it had been good fun.

      ... by the headland. Still surprisingly warm. Walked up to the headland and looked down on the beautiful 'Back Beach' Enjoyed ocean view BBQs at the BBQ just behind our camping spot. Considered staying longer than the two nights we booked but have decided to have a couple of nights south of Coffs Harbour which will be closer to Nambucca Heads where we are going on Sunday. Also there aren't any yabbies for bait and the next spot looks to have them close ...
