      ... the main street (no eftpos only cash). We thought we were out of place in Byron Bay but this place - far out. Full of young hippies and back packers and almost as many old ones. Main street smelt of dope, publics toilets did not have urinals, all uni sex and no locks on the doors and filthy. Had to experience the town but not a pleasant one. Lovely drive back to camp though through the hills via Murwillumbah.
