      ... US 500,000 or so to “foreigners”. They looked pretty nice and some were “gated” communities and one had a 9 hole golf course. The strange smell happened again and I looked towards the open window for some fresh air … thankfully the air cleared quickly.

      ... I’m tremendously pleased to see how Arubans incorporate these people in their carnival activities. There was the keyboard player who was hoisted on stage in the Caiso and Soca competition, the two boys in their wheel chair in the San Nicolas Children’s Parade, and now a group that is absolutely enjoying marching and dancing to the road music.

      ... aren't something we take for granted. We caught up on the lack of food over the last 6 months and made up for it by gorging on copious amounts of free food, cocktails, wine and beer for 14 glorious days - where the calories don't count and tummies are sucked in for photos. If any cruise agent offers any type of upgrade, a drinks package is the one you want!       ... to our tour guide, Paul, it is a local tradition to camp on the beach over Easter weekend (they have a long holiday weekend from Friday through Monday) and there were tons of tents on the sand. For future reference, Paul says the best beach in Aruba is Eagle Beach.
