... week with those we love.
We had the honour of being invited to the Royal St. George's College 50th anniversary bash by my former boss Steve, then combined a Toronto furniture run with a Go Freddie Go concert at the old Chick n Deli so we are still in touch with the Toronto crowd. The spring has also provided lots of opportunities to reconnect with our old Ridley pals.
We even managed to squeeze in one more consulting job to top up the travel fund ...

... of up to three years duration, at great expense. We struggled to resist the wafts from the baking classes, but there we no free samples on offer. However, we did enjoy breakfast pastries at the Apple Pie Cafe.






We had time to squeeze in one more stop, on the west bank of the river - those of you of a certain age will know the significance. The photo says it all.

... landing place of the pilgrims in 1620. It's a very lovely coastal town with a lot of history and it would have been nice to take some more of it in. Alas, we just fitted in a quick peek at Plymouth Rock, a wander to where the Mayflower II (the 1954 replica of the pilgrims’ ship) is usually berthed (currently being refurbished in Mystic) and then we were on our way to Boston, home of many 'oldest in America' things, Cheers Bar(s) and the mighty Red ...

... orange lilo. Managing to turn a crimson shade of red. Found out there was a shuttle that goes between the town and the beach every 30 minutes, the thought of walking back almost killed us. Keen for Fish and Chups, we found a great chippy just around the corner, set us back a few more dollars than we'd of liked. Walked up the pier to find a nice spot to eat them.
