      ... able to see the ship very nicely. Great experience watching and talking with all the people watch the ship leave port. The best one was a little 2 year old girl repeatedly say "bye daddy – bye daddy" and then throw in a “bye Steve.”

      Went to the same beach we went to last night and I caught a 22 inch pink salmon. About 40 fisherman out there and I saw about 6 caught. One guy out in a boat caught one close to shore and he shouted out "It's a King" which means he shoulda thrown it back, which he didn't, so either it wasn't a King or he kept it illegally. So that is #10 for me. Next day of fishing is probably Monday. ...

      Picked up Mac in Tumwater, WA on Friday and brought him back to Oak Harbor, WA. Had a family BBQ at Kimberly's place in Coupeville, WA on Saturday and then took Mac back to Tumwater, WA as he had to work on Sunday. Mac is out here to help with cadet training at Fort Lewis, WA.       While visiting Jane and family the weather was hot and the ground was very dry. Fires all around but not in the immediate area. We went to a Blue Grass picking festival in Sillah.
