... back seat again. The cost of hiring a car in Austin is astronomical!! The usual day rate is about $30-50, we got charged about $230! It was the cheapest though so we had to take it. We left the airport - Ryan drove again, and no surprise but we had more problems with the bloody GPS!! ... into the hairpin Turn 1, which is the tracks signature corner and the location of our Grandstand seats high up on the hill. From here we have a great view of Turn 1 and the fast downhill section through Turn 2. We can also see the final two corners, pit straight and exits as well as some of the fast switchbacks of the infield.
