Heading North again. From Utica, we cycled to Pulaski, which was about 100km. Very hilly. We are, however, slowly feeling the product of our hard work: sores are not as painful and our legs are getting stronger. ... noticed looking at the river on a map is that it doesn't curve and twist and turn like the Mississippi does. I don't see any oxbow lakes. I wonder why that is.

We stopped in Alexandria Bay, NY and took a 2-1/2 hour cruise in the 1000 Islands area of the river, just before the river joins Lake Ontario.

... to the boat museum. At the boat museum we took a 45 minute ride in an old Zipper speed boat. We felt a little like the 'Kennedy's' as we flew over the water in this open boat, water flying up the sides whilst we explored some interesting sites on the lake.
