... admirable TV documentaries. Skunks don’t just stink, they spray in defense and it’s the stench of that spray that should be feared. It apparently lasts a lifetime. The problem was, given the lacunae in Sir David's body of work to date, the thought processes and therefore the timing of the skunk's defensive responses were unknown to us.
So we threw rocks to scare it and the skunk until it slunk away.
"That skunk can be our moose", decided Mrs Henry.
Day 1 – Saturday 9-21
Jan, Roxanne George & I departed for Newark airport. 8am picked them up at Roxanne's house and off to Newark. We stopped at a Greek diner for a very nice lunch.
We arrived at 1:30 and had a nice slow lunch at the airport. George picked out a nice red wine, very nice; he started a tab.
Flight 5:40p to Munich, we flew north over Quebec, followed the St Lawrence ...
... at any of the Parks Canada docks. Parks Canada is similar to our national parks, I think. They are usually fairly rustic with no water or electric.
Tomorrow we plan to leave early and arrive in Kingston by noon or so to spend the day. We’ve heard from several cruisers that Kingston is a very beautiful and historic city with lots to see and do. We should also have wifi there to catch you up on our ...
After a windy and rocky night at the dock, we did some housekeeping duties like laundry and grocery shopping and some maintainance on the HVAC system that decided not to work. It's back online and we're keeping warm on these cool nights.
We toured the Antique Boat Museum. It is a truly impressive museum. Camille kidded me for taking so many pictures when I was here in 2011. So I let her be in charge ...

Now that we are back in the U.S. we can use our phone without paying international roaming charges so we're making a few calls while we can. Once back in Canada we'll be blacked out for the next few weeks. Posts on the blog will be sporadic at best. But stay tuned just in case we find a hot spot.
