The Three Gorges Cruise!!
... tourists wanted to take pictures at the front of the boat, this boat was tiny and one little movement rocked the boat greatly, but they didn’t care, even if it meant practically sitting on me to get a picture! Thankfully we made it back to our main boat without anyone falling in! We continued our journey that evening with a few more beers and a pot of noodles, waiting for the infamous Chinese disco that never came, needless to say I gave up and went to bed!

Wandering around the town
... mended I grabbed the first motorcycle taxi sitting at the street corner nearby and headed to the Dragon Mother Temple... Here the largest statue (38 metres tall) in China of the legendary dragon mother is located.
Next came a wander through the side streets, stopping for lunch at a street shop, until I was down at the main east/west road again, here I asked a motorcycle taxi guy about the Wuzhou Snake Repository... my 2008 copy of the "Lonely Planet: China" guide listed it as ...
Another city, Another hotel...
... behind my back.
Having no luggage to worry about I was more comfortable sitting down with pen and paper and a 2008 copy of "Lonely Planet: China", busily checking the Guangdong section and the basic survival phrasology section in the back of the book for the characters for:
"I'd like a" (wo xiang yao)
"Guangzhou" (guang zhou)
"one way ticket" (dan cheng piao)
...
Just what I needed ;)!
Need to get away from the hustle and bustle Wuzhou is the place ;)

Hiked a mountain to get to the Temple Court Yard....gorgeous view!
The shopping was awesum jade, tea sets, and gems fabulous.
The food was divine salty but divine ;)!
Fav was the sweet Baozi.
Xie Xie Wuzhou, will most definitely be back again ;)!

A Hostel with a Hard Sell
... to get off the boat again - something about the police coming. Once the right arrangements had been made with the police, we were herded back on and were able to get much better seats. Most of the passengers were a Dutch tour group. We found out later that the two girls had paid half what we had, and that included a taxi from their accommodation.
