... I slept most of the way there. When we got back to the hostel, the
girl from this morning (it was 6:30pm by the way) was still there and
immediately rushed at us when we walked in the door apologising about not
having the drinks ready this morning and asking whether we wanted them now. Once
we agreed she then reappeared a few minutes later looking incredibly disappointed,
explaining that the coffee machine was broken. After telling her that tea was
fine for the both of ...

Why they are called this I have no idea apart from the fact that being covered structures they do keep the rain and the wind and indeed the sun off enterprising ladies who sit on them and pedal handicrafts to the tourists crossing into the village. After lunch we set of to the base of the next village - a Zhuang and Yao village that we had to walk up to. To do this we left our main cases in a shop tied up with string and set off through ...

Was this a wise decision? Its now 9am. We have hardly slept. The seats we are in are literally no bigger than our standard bus seats or train seats. You cant stretch your legs as the people in front are touching knees with us its that close. This has to be the worse journey we have ever taken. On the plus side what an experience! We have seen the backs off China, some beautiful scenery! The family ...

Unfortunately we are not dining here, we head upstairs to another restaurant. The food was average, the rice had meat in it, even my vegetarian option had pork squirrelled away in the vege. Really the ...

... I. She has tried several new dishes that I just could not.  Allie and I, on the other hand, are both sick of Steak and rice. I am also not a fan of when the food is looking back at you. Today it was the fish. The other night we were served beaks and claws soup or at least that is what it looked like. Unless you have been to China you can't say you have had Chinese food. They waste NOTHING.... Every part is used.  At lunch today Allie ...
