    ... some hills. It was about a 30km ride to Tiburon. We got there in time for an ice cream before the last ferry at 6.40pm.

    As we left sunny Tiburon and headed in the fog laden San Francisco the chill set in and we piled on the clothes. With two hours to go and no tables at the restaurants the only alternative was to shop till it was time for fireworks.

    ... bed for a QUICK three hour nap ;) We decided that we'd have dinner down at Pier 39. We took the bus for a nice ride along all the piers. This was sensory overload. So many things to see, smell and taste. But boy was it cold, the wind ripped right through you. At the end of the pier, past the carousel and all the yummy smelling restaurants was Alcatraz covered in fog. Mike is pretty excited about going tomorrow. We'll have to wear some pretty warm ...
