      OK so off we go to Iceland. We're leaving hot and humid Michigan for the cool spring like weather of Iceland. Everything went great until we got our first message fifteen minutes before the first leg of our journey telling us our flight had been delayed out of Detroit. But don't worry Delta would take care of it.

      So off we flew to Detroit. Once there we checked with two very helpful Delta employee's who told us not to worry even ...

      ... was torn down for this new, what we would call around here a NW Craftsman...Veddy nice.

      Drove by Nurmi drive to see the house for sale...here's our chance to live in Midland, again...well, if only the weather was exactly like it was this week (not likely!)

      TIme to head back to SEA - checked in early at the Delta counter after giving up the keys to the Bug ...

      ... He was in town as he often is working with Dow and took his mom and me to his regular spot at the Holiday Inn. This time it was a Turkey Rueben (what is with these Ruebens!!) and of course house made chips :- ) Mom, Jan and the Hignites had an afternoon bridge game (apparently the Hignites won, but no one seems to know for sure, but for the record it was Beth and Glenn!) I spent the afternoon at Margaret Klumb's hogging ...

      ... money, or creativity to come up with one- but next year! There's lots and lost of vendors selling authentic renaissance merchandise, but the best part, to me- is all of the entertainers. Jugglers, drinking song singers, wenches, mud wrestlers, bag pipers, jousters...and the list goes on! We left with henna tattoos, a jar of honey, and great big smiles on our faces!

      left over from the 25th
      So off to Flushing and did we get into some weather like I was looking for an arc. It came in buckets for about half an hour and at last we drove out into sunshine for the rest of the visit. I now realize I made no images of the gathering, guess family and food got in the way [at least food]. Nice seeing everyone and then back to da lake and into another shower, but ...
