The drive to Kelowna gave us our first glimpse of Canada's countryside. En route to Kelowna we made a pit stop to watch some barrel racing which was quite the experience. We arrived late in the afternoon in the small town of Kelowna where we simply enjoyed some Indian food in the hotel room.
... some photos taken. Was really good fun except my legs were well and truly ready to get out and walk by the time we got in. Just in time as it had just started to get drizzly.
Was getting quite chilly by then, the water not as cold as I thought would be but still wouldn't have liked to fall in...
Then kept heading NNE through Glacier National Park, around and down through Golden, getting quite darker ...
... lake where we spent some time relaxing and even taking a dip in the rather cold lake.
To top off another good day we brought Heinz beans and bread for toast and cooked up beans on toast which after all the eating out we’d been doing tasted fantastic. Simple, but fantastic. We only just got to make it though as the kitchen should have closed at 10pm but the friendly staff here let us stay late to cook , eat and clean up (J).

House parties at Wolverine and powder days have been big the past couple of weeks!
