Park area, we visited Millennium Park where they have an outdoor ice-skating rink, Coming from a place where we have Christmas in the summer, this kind of thing has a nice 'Christmassy' feel to it that we don't really get back home. The same applies to the window displays in stores like the big Macy's in the Loop - these attract quite a crowd in the evenings.

... Merz Apothecary, a second-hand toy store and a large delicatessen. The rest of the shops along the semi-pedestrian thoroughfare are quite trendy with a good variety of stock; we purchased a few small items for Santa to leave under Max and Sarah's Christmas tree. A day at the baseball at Wrigley field (2nd oldest ballpark in the US)Hot dogs, beers and great seats to see the Chicago cubs beat the Pittsburgh pirates. An added bonus for the kids with the first 1000 into the stadium being allowed to run the bases at the end of the game - a definite once in a lifetime chance for them!

... Yes, yes, yes! Time for a great steak dinner. This is actually one of my favorite ones of their chain as the service here to me seems very excellent.

After dinner it was back to the hotel for a rather early turn in(anything before 10 pm is early to me) since my flight leaves the next day at 7:30 am. I'll have to make sure I get plenty of coffee before boarding. The sleep number bed here at the hotel will help with my attempt to sleep.
