I had a lovely lie in this morning, I woke up around 9am then decided to meet Mabs, Hannah and Lyndsey downstairs to explore Chicago as today was our free day. We decided to hire bikes (like the boris bikes in London) to see The Bean again in daylight and to head up to Lincoln Park; which every time someone said it I always thought of the rock band. We had such a nightmare with the bikes as Mabs brought two on her card, one for herself and one for Hannah as it didn't take cash. ...

Found out that what we thought and is called the river is actually a canal built in 1898 to reverse the flow of the river so that the water flows from lake Michigan into the Mississippi reservoir and not the river into the lake.
