He was staying at the hostel for free by helping out cleaning it whilst he was earning $250,000 a year, with most of it locked up mutual trusts. We both thought it was a tad strange. Never the less he bought us breakfast. Headed out to the Pilgrim monument next, the largest granite building in America. Built to commemorate the landing of the Mayflower in 1620 the first ship ...

    Carter & Charlie found clams.
And Carter & Eden cooked them (lots of them) for our first course; half of them were grilled, half steamed. What fun!

Dinner afterwards was at the Wild Goose Tavern. Everything was excellent. We knew we were no longer on the barge from Amsterdam to Belgium. This promised that good things were yet to come. By 11 pm it was time to say goodnight as tomorrow we'd be up by 5:30 am.
