... 160;Still under reconstruction, it remains a major tourist attraction and exhibit on the affluence of the very rich back in early 20th century.  It was fun to tour around the island and walk through the rooms of a real castle.  Imagine the huge maintenance costs these days if it were still fully functioning. We took a 2.5 hour boat ride all over the thousand island area on our extra day and toured the castle.  relaxing and fun. ...

After getting our baby out of cold storage it is time to get her ready for a new season of exploring. May 16-20: Our first trip this year is with the By-towners back in Brockville at the Happy Green Acres campground. Joined the Good Sam Club, this gives us very good Road Side Assistance for both of us plus our Trailer and access to the Camping World stores (a must for campers, we were told). Through Good Sam we found a local chapter called the By town Campers, so we contacted them and they invited us to join their next camp out over the Labour Day weekend in Brockville.

Camp out was held at Happy Green Acres campground, it is a large ...

What a mixed bag --- but we're happy!

The day started overcast - a little hazy. Sun broke out, with humidity, around noon. Maeve, Pam and I played in the water for hours! Maeve is super exhausted, but so terribly happy! The shore and out for at least 50 feet is rocky, but a nice temperature. Very lucky to have the water at our doorstep.

In between we read (Pam - The Almost Moon; Janet - The Kite Runner; Maeve - blade of grass) and relaxed - ...
