Friends are awesome! Well, at least my friends are... After a hard night of golfing at Top Golf, we slept in at Tacy's place. Nothing like a comfortable bed, with no check-out time to create laziness in two dudes. About 11:00 am, I decided that we should attempt to make a day of it and head out for an adventure. ... seven national parks: Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Olympic, Crater Lake, and Death Valley, and traveling to a bunch of cities from Vegas to all the way up California to Washington state, so we're HOPEFULLY going to use this blog to post our honeymoon adventures and share photos and stories and inside jokes.
So... the point is... stay tuned, there eventually will be more to come, it just won't be for awhile :)
... WE are amazed, that, for a 8 1/2 year old coach with 74,000 miles, it is completely, spotlessly perfect inside. Nothing seems to have been used or abused in any way. Even the felt in the window sills, which gather and hold dirt and dust horribly, look brand new! Hard to figure out how they put 74,000 miles on it without using anything but the driver's seat!
... in their high vis jackets, hard boots and hair nets and us pair in shorts and T-shirts asking for them to book us a taxi. They did happily enough, we sat and waited on the steps whilst all the workers looked baffled at us, walking in and out of work. We watched the biggest and blackest cloud we had ever seen come straight at us, I can tell when there's a storm brewing, the wind changes ;) haha. ... One chick just lay flat out, exhausted beside it's shell for ages - it looked like I felt after childbirth! I guess exhaustion is relative.
Another display had the chicks that were a few days old and they were standing and running around under the lights and were the usual yellow balls of fluff - gorgeous.
In the lobby area of the stadium behind glass, were the winning quilts. Now quilting is not usually my cup of tea but one of them ...
