... floods and devastation. A lot has happened while we've been away but we have been proud of the way our state has rebounded and are moving forward.

We're excited to be getting home tomorrow. We’ve been very fortunate through all our travels and have enjoyed sharing our adventures with our friends and family. We’re glad I wrote the blog because it’s already hard to remember some of the names of places we’ve been!

... too tired to get any of the other waterfalls along Thompson. He decided to set up his hammock, while I headed down to Waterfall #1 on Thompson River. I had never been to this one before and for being on Thompson River, it was pretty easy. And it’s a pretty nice waterfall too! I was glad I made the quick detour here. I also saw some tiger swallowtail butterflies puddling along the river bed. I hiked back up to the main ...

There were a few museums and things in
and near Greensboro we could have visited but when I said the word
Museum, everyone under 16 groaned. I think they have been in plenty
of museums the last few weeks and are temporarily museumed out. So we
drove onto to Marion NC. This one did have very small signs which
said No Overnight camping so we weren't sure if we would get moved on
        or not. ...

... down the path, it started to rain. By the time we got
down, we were soaked and ready for lunch. After we were done with
lunch we went to ingles to buy groceries for the week. We returned to
the house later that day, where we joined together for a 21st
century foot washing. The whole event was very emotional. Later that
night we spent some of our free time enjoying each others
        company
        with a game of Cranium.
