... gone and we had a relaxed ride with plenty of opportunity to look around - so much more enjoyable than the first ride.

Since the sun sets at 5PM, it was dark by the time we got back to the bike rental store. Thankfully most of the last bit of the ride was through a well lit park.

We took the ferry back to Larkspur (about 10 miles past Sausalito on the north side of the bay) and had lovely soak in the hot tub before bed to relax our very tired bodies.

Then it was uphill to the bridge and a wonderful ride over the water. It's only when you're up next to the giant towers that you get a sense of the scale of the bridge. It was built in 1937 and took four years to complete, it cost 35m back then, coming in under budget.

... set lunch (2 course at $30 and 3 courses at $37). We started with a simple pumpkin soup which was amazingly light. And the pumpkin seeds on top go so well with it. The second course was chicken and to our great surprise the breast cut was so tender and juicy. And the portion was quite big. Our lunch ended with a pumpkin dessert - really good as well. Beautiful ...
