A step back in time - the original California

After a beautiful sleep on my brand new mattress purchased from REI the previous day, Mum and I went for a morning run before the rest of the team was up. We set off through along the main street and arrived at the Santa Barbara foreshore as the sun was creeping over the horizon. Clouds scattered far away in the distance. A beautiful morning! Of …

I squeeze between a pole and rusty fence, noting no warning signs of the land being private property, but seeing instead a sign informing me that this particular area is used as a mating area for a certain type of bird and not disturb them. Seeing as I can't imagine what an angry, horny, bird could do to harm me, nor would I like to find out, I heed the warning with great caution.

... much winery hopping. We found a cute coffee shop in SLO . We sat in the garden area enjoying iced coffee. We don't use our cell phones as the roaming charges are high, however I use mine for a timer to remind me when our parking meter is almost done. So far it has worked. Speediest another issue. I watch the speed limit as I have seen more police in a few days than I have seen in Vancouver in a few ...
