          Nach fünf Stunden Schlaf bin ich um 4:30 Uhr wach. Rien ne va plus! Neun Stunden Zeitverschiebung lässt sich der Körper nicht einfach so unterjubeln. Wir könnten jetzt sogar direkt frühstücken gehen, denn am Best Western gibt es eine Denny's-Filiale, die rund um die Uhr geöffnet hat. Irgendwie ist uns aber noch nicht nach einem Grand Slam Breakfast …

          Our day starts very early at Turtle Beach RV park and it's still dark when the dogs and I step out for our morning walk. All the other campers are sleeping and the only noises are the distant rumble of the highway and the croaking of the frogs on the San Joaquin river.           ... in the world, Lombard St. We were able to experience driving down it and then started to find our way out of the city and down Highway 1 to Monterey. After missing the turn to 280 South, we drove across the Golden Gate Bridge, took the first exit, turned around and crossed it again and finally were on the right road! Well, we didn't walk across the GG Bridge, but we did drive across it four times! LOL. We took Highway 17 across to Highway 1 and our first stop ...
