    A few places a little further down the coast seemed to get hit a lot harder than we did and have had trees down, power out and some minor damage to some houses eg parts of roofs off etc. There has been no reports of injury or loss of life which is good.

    Today we drove down the North Carolina coast to Kill Devil Hills near Kitty Hawk to see the site of the first powered flight by the Wright brothers. The national memorial was great and the coast is beautiful.

    Even though it is very hot and humid and our s'more chocolate melted (boo) we were able to enjoy it. We stuck the chocolate on the floor near the air conditioning and felt ok to move on! Sorry, got side tracked about ...
