... Jayne went over and talked to him. She was curious as to just how much equipment he could carry on his motorcycle. The biker Ken told Jayne he had stayed at the campground many time, and he too was appalled at its condition. We had a reservation for the 10 o'clock ferry as had Ken. After a 2 hour and 15 minute ferry ride we arrived at Ocracoke Island. We are spending several days here and will report on our adventures on the next blog.

Today we drove down the North Carolina coast to Kill Devil Hills near Kitty Hawk to see the site of the first powered flight by the Wright brothers. The national memorial was great and the coast is beautiful.
Even though it is very hot and humid and our s'more chocolate melted (boo) we were able to enjoy it. We stuck the chocolate on the floor near the air conditioning and felt ok to move on! Sorry, got side tracked about ...
