... finally here!! We gave our first tip to our shuttle driver who was so grateful and was a lovely guy. We couldn't check in at the hotel straight away so decided to head down to the outlets and do some shopping. After an hour or so, jet lag was starting to set in so we headed back and fell asleep for 14 hours!!

... people along the promenade is fun to watch; tourists and ”regular” people mix with artists, street performers, weed selling doctors, skateboarders and hobo’s. As we walk along the promenade we pass by some of the places; Muscle Beach, the skatepark and the basketball courts.


After a couple of hours in Venice we move on to Santa Monica which is a bit more polished, but still very much a beach ...

... heaven. By far a guy on skates with only two wheels playing a guitar with a strong resemblance of Bin Laden was my favourite. We dubbed him Osama Bin Skating. Everywhere you look there is a stunning girl its like they've managed to kill the ugly gene here! Drinking on the streets is a no no here unless its out of a brown paper bag instantly making you feel like a homeless dude.

The radio is full of advertisements inviting you and your off spring to "Come on in for a casting audition" (you have to say that with a typical American spruiking voice). Probably a little cynical, but I can see all the beautiful Moms rolling up with their beautiful children, handing over their hard earned cash for a photo shoot..
