Looking around it seems that we are yet again going to navigate our way through a gift shop. The kitschy key chains with blinking names (but never my name?) are on display, right next to palm tree mugs and picture frames shaped like sunglasses. T-shirts line the walls and sweatshirts are folded in two foot tall stacks just waiting to be dug through to find the right size and color to scream that you were “here!”
... a glass of wine while watching the sunset. Then we headed for Clarks Seafood & Chops (a favorite eatery) for scallops and crab cakes. The combination of a warm day (Mag actually was in shorts and tee shirt for awhile), quick passage thru the last drawbridge, easy mileage with no real navigational hotspots, made for a very satisfying days run topped off with a great meal. ... way to the Hwy 17 bridge at 8+ knots in the favorable breeze. Maggie did several stints at the helm and is getting the knack of handling the boat. She seems much more at ease doing this now and her earlier tentativeness has been replaced with confidence.

It was 23degrees Celsius and we didn't know what to do with ourselves. We spent the morning sitting in our beach chairs in our jeans enjoying the sound of the waves and reading our books. It was nice to finally be in warm weather but we knew it wasn’t going to last. They were called for a low of 2degrees that evening and we were not looking forward to it. We had never had boiled peanuts before and the guy said that outsiders usually don’t like them because it’s an acquired taste but after a little test peanut we thought they were great.
