... put a stop to this and ever since it has sat closed to the public and doing not a right lot. We got there and found it's very overgrown the island and the house on it seems very run down. It's basically just being left to fall apart really. The guy who bought it, employs 24/7 security for it but other than that the islands empty. We sat on a bench just across from the island watching the bungee for a little while before we booth started feeling the cold. We headed ...

Everyone just had a merry time drinking beers and relaxing to the music and I think I could have spent all night out there. We left the shop and decided that the wine just tasted, since it was on offer, was too good to pass by and had to turn the campervan around to grab a bottle! After our ...

... then onto a trail. I thought that sounded ok, long, but ok. So I go for the hike, it was beautiful and totally worth it but EXHAUSTING! It was a bit hilly, but nothing really horrible. It was just looong. I just looked it up to see how far it actually was, it told me 6.4 km one way, which meant nothing to me. So I converted it to miles and it's 3.9!!! I WALKED 8 MILES! I had no idea it was that far! No wonder I'm exhausted and sore...I thought I was being a big weenie (I guess ...

... and somewhere I guess is a rite of passage for a backpacker in New Zealand.

But first, we had an important detour to make. In New Zealand, there is a famous drink called L&P (Lemon and Paeora) which is basically a very tasty lemonade, made in a town called Paeroa. Yours truly is a big fan and had heard about the 'big bottle.' Which, naturally is in Paeroa, which was enroute from Paihia to Taupo. I insisted we stop so I could see the big bottle. Now, dear reader, ...
