We stopped in Hollister to visit Mike Sullivan’s sister Sue, and Arron. What a great visit we had. They took us to Carmel where we got our first
view of the Pacific Ocean and I got to walk along the beach and get my feet
wet. The water is almost as cold as it
is along the Maine coast. I had expected
it to be a little …

Luckily we found some nice street parking two blocks up the hill. Katie bravely walked ...

Today we headed down the stunning Pacific Coast via a stop at Morro Beach & the Big Sur. Morro Beach is well known for its big rock, apparently the third largest rock in the world! It is also a fishing port & very nice beach. The Big Sur road is narrow & winds along a sea cliff, reminding us in parts of NZ. Our stop for ...

... pool is still closed, but the area is open. The massage parlor and the sauna are open and located in the pool enclosure.

A nature walk with Ingrid is next. She does a great job explaining the ecology of the redwoods, and makes frequent stops to answer the questions from the group and let everyone catch their breath and enjoy the scenary. We have a bit more free time to refresh after the walk before learning about healing self massage ...
