Beautiful Mediterranean looking motel with a well equipped kitchen and close to the bay. The managers were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We even got free wifi (500mb) although it didn't work on our last night.

Äntligen framme i Nya Zeeland!

... to swim with the dolphins it all depended on them, since they were wild mammals; what mood they were in and also if they had a baby or a child within the pod. If they did have a baby, we would not be able to swim with them as they are very protective of the young ones and also the New Zealand law does not allow you to.

... just as we went in for tea at the RibHouse so did the rest of the tourists in the town. I think we got the last table and just ordered before a huge party on the next table so didn't have to wait too lang for a very nice wooden platter of Ribs with the knife stuck in the wood through the ribs! So Rids and a pint later we were off back to room for a quick glass of red, blog writing and bed. Another boat trip ahead tomorrow as there had been no phone call to say it was ...

... Hole in the Rock'. The cruise was a few hours long and we saw loads of wild dolphins swimming along with the boat. We cruised past about 11 of the 150 islands in the Bay of Islands collective and got to have an hour break on the beautiful Otehei bay. We finished off the day with a proper beach dinner of fish and chips for dinner at Vinnie's ...

... walk round the long way we both climbed a small rock face to reach the top where the monument stood. We arrived back at the cottage exhausted but happy and after a quick lunch headed into KeriKeri. We paid a visit to an old store before getting more wine and heading off to Paihia for Daryl's Dinner Cruise. We arrived a bit early and met another couple called Steve and Nicole who had recently moved to New Zealand from South ...
