Beautiful Mediterranean looking motel with a well equipped kitchen and close to the bay. The managers were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We even got free wifi (500mb) although it didn't work on our last night.

Äntligen framme i Nya Zeeland!

Awesome day today... We got onboard 'Dolphin Seeker', the Fullers Hole In Rock & Dolphin Cruise. (Or island 9 on your tour for those of you that are lost :) We also saw New …

We must have been absolutely buggered last night because we all slept in this morning! We barely checked out of our hotel on time! We had planned to head to the Bay Of Islands fairly early but due to our late start we didn't stop in to as many places on the way as we would have liked.

We left Auckland about 10am and headed north and …

... the best possible reasons ?? But history is what it is and the NZ'rs whoever and however long they've lived here will have to make living together work. I wish them all the best. That said we are going to see the treaty grounds and hopefully going tomoz it won't be too busy. So rough plans made for tomoz the inevitable question asked by Steve was is there WiFi ?? No but there is outside the library til 5. Bizarre but argue not we duly tramped to the library. You just ...

... original houses from the settlers and the Maori meeting houses. After walking around for a bit and getting breakfast next to a small pond overlooking the beach, it was off to town. In town I scheduled a cruise to the famous hole in the rock, which I took this afternoon, and a trip up to Cape Reinga and along 90 mile beach, which I will be taking tomorrow. After getting everything arrianged, ...
