      ... of the desolate Highway 50. I'll make my peace with Mother Nature and just keep pedaling along. I actually long to be back in the desert where it is quiet and serene .I will deal with the heat and the lack of water stops and do my best to ride safely and swiftly.       ... together. As Dustin's mom entertained the unsolicited salesman from Portland, we made her a quick breakfast and some for ourselves. I think I burnt the toast or the oil, but I couldn't tell what was smoke and what was just steam from it being so cold.
