... sit amongst the volunteers. Serena and I spoke with 4 others in total (including her friend). It was very entertaining! We spoke about the world cup and Tower Bridge, hobbies, music and what we do job or study wise. 2 of the guys were from South Korea and had been friends for 15 years. We were up and ready around 7am this morning, it looked like it had been raining through the night. It was a nice morning though, the sun was shining! Early on in the day a customer paid an $8 bill with a $100 note which we found a bit nuts but it's a normality really here!! There are big money notes here there and everywhere!! We also find it a bit crazy how people can eat chips and cheeseburgers at like 9 in the morning, it just doesn't seem right! We had a pretty steady morning, ...

... door to our hostel. Lots of people out in their maroon shirts. It will likely be loud and lead to much drunkenness. Heather and I may have one drink and watch a bit of the game but we have to be up at 5:30am to head to Surfers Paradise tomorrow. Not sure what we are planning on doing there but we have been looking into a glow worm night tour. The beach is also supposed to be nice.
