... the middle of the Atlantic do you really think that life vest is going to do me any good? I think not. This also was another clue about which members of the herd would not make it. Just like on an airplane, if you can't work the seat belt you're just going to die. You would think this is rocket science. Total waste of a half hour. At 4:00 the captain comes on the intercom to inform us we're leaving in 20 minutes. Sorry, but my ...

We boarded Ruby Princess at 13.00 in Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale and headed straight for our cabin, B751 specially selected as its at the back of the ship and we like it there as a rule. ... in January but still isn't great. No worries - we're still managing to consume the calories! The pizza & ice cream cones are awesome! The shows are pretty good & worth attending as are some of the lectures. One night a saxophonist played for us - he was good but Cody's better! One more sailing day (today), then we arrive the Azores for a day tour. The weather continues to be beautiful & warm but as soon as the sun sets, ...

... first one we saw was a huge 10 footed. The second one was fighting with another one... A rare sight because most of the time they just soak up the sun. The good sinning spots are worth fighting for. There were people fishing all along the narrow road and there were plenty of fish to have. At the end of the road we continued to Playa Linda Beach, part of Cape Canaveral Natl Seashore. Lounging at a beach in the height of winter is exactly what we drove all this way for. Usually ...
