... me to confirm that I really did just leave one gift trap, I mean shop. I’m pretty sure I can hear the bus starting on the other side of the building, but there’s only one way to get there. Through the store!

I’d love to say that I held fast and ran with blinders on for the exit, not stopping to fondle the carved this and that on table tops, or to ponder whether my son would like the hand woven bracelet ...

Wow, I'm truly flattered by Maggie's post.

We had a short day with no rush to make mileage so we idled along at 5.5 its and enjoyed the uniqueness behind Myrtle Beach. Some of this is interesting but is generally pretty boring. ... it is pretty much a ghost town. Everything is empty. The mini putt, water slides, amusement parks, and boardwalks are all silent and shut down. Even half the hotels are closed. We decided to take advantage of the off season and do what we haven’t done on this entire trip. We got a hotel room for the night. We went to one of the hotels and told them we were on our honeymoon (technically true). They gave us the discount room price and upgraded us to the honeymoon suite along with ...

      Looking for southern charm

... the waffles!!!) and I ordered the classic Shrimp and Grits with a biscuit. Needless to say everything was freaking amazing. Neither of us had had grits before and they were filled with cheesy goodness. Seriously an amazing breakfast but omg so filling. We did not eat lunch that day. We wanted to find another place to hike and maybe camo so we drove up to Jones Lakes State Park. It was pretty much deserted and once again felt a little sketchy. We did get in a quick ...
