    ... time drinking! You got a glass with entry and could walk around for as many samples as you liked. The sample sizes were pretty generous - a shot of liquor or about 100-150ml of beer.     ... She was given a taste of it when she was at school and will never forget it. She was pleased to hear that Nadia doesn't eat the stuff either! We told her that Tim Tams are a much better example of Australian food that she should try to eat. Maryssa repaid us by recommending a bakery nearby which makes amazing doughnuts, so of course we went straight there!

    Everyone on contiki had a rather heavy night the night before so the long bus journey we had today was going to be interesting. I woke up hating life with a spinning head and feeling rather delicate. Had some brekky & felt better but still could have done with staying in bed. Then it was on the way to Charleston. We got there and picked up Lynda our tour guide. She got on our bus and we drove round Charleston & it's the prettiest place so far in America ...

    We took a long time to come through passport control in arrival in Raleigh/Durham - this was because there were four attendants for US passengers and only one for all other passports. Eventually we were through, and we were pleased to see our three bags had all arrived from Zurich. Cam was waiting for us and it was so lovely to see him.
