We arrived at Alpine Valley campground at 7 pm and managed to pitch our tents before dark. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant. I had baked salmon and it was delicious as were the vegetables and salad. Now I need to go into food coma before morning comes.

On the east side, there were two trail options for reaching the summit: Lions Head or Tuckerman Ravine. Locals told us there was too much snow on the Tuckerman trail, so the Lion's Head was recommended. Too much snow?! Hell yes!
